This CEPS project focused on analysing the impacts of climate change mitigation measures and policies on the three pillars of sustainable development: the economic, environmental and social dimensions. It did so by looking at the positive as well as adverse – both intended and unintended – impacts of climate change mitigation policies and projects through three country case studies (Poland, Ghana and Maldives), one sector case study (Soda ash) and one policy case study (Agriculture – Food labelling). Additionally, the project examined the conditions for a sustainable transition to a low GHG economy and what flanking measures (policies to mitigate impacts) need to be put in place to address those impacts.
