Associate Research Fellow

Francesco Corti is an Associate Research Fellow at CEPS and an Advisor to the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Social Affairs and Health. He is also Adjunct Professor at the University of Milan where he teaches Economic and social governance of the EU, and Research Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI).  Expert in European social and employment policies, EU budget, EMU governance and Social Investment, Francesco provided research and advisory services to various Brussels-based think tanks and EU institutions. He is an external expert at Eurofound on economic and social convergence and at the European Court of Auditors on the Recovery and Resilience Facility and on SURE. At CEPS he is the co-leader of the RRF Monitor project (rrfmonitor-ceps.eu).

Francesco holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Milan. Previously, he served as policy advisor to a Member of the European Parliament in the ECON Committee between 2016 and 2019 and was visiting researcher at the European Social Observatory (OSE). Mother tongue Italian, he is proficient in English, an independent user in French, Spanish and German.
