Before joining CEPS Energy Climate House in January 2016, Eleanor Drabik worked as a renewable energy consultant for over two years, advising investors and developers on commercial projects. Within this role, she developed an interest in the politics and economics of energy transitions and went on to study her master’s.

Eleanor holds a Master of Science in Energy Policy for Sustainability at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex. For her thesis, she explored how renewable energy deployment instruments affect electricity markets to explain why policy decisions in the UK differ with other EU member states, incorporating research from transition studies and the political economy. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Economics.
