Doina Postica is a Research Assistant at CEPS in the Economic Policy and Jobs & Skills Unit.
Experienced in quantitative analysis, she started focusing on machine learning models applied to economics during her MPhil. As part of her Master thesis, she compared econometric to machine learning models performance for the assessment of risk taking behaviour of European banks.
With regard to impact assessment, she is conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis about labour and skills shortage in the Agricultural sector across EU countries as part of the project “Growing the future – Enhancing the attractiveness of the agricultural work” for Copa-Geopa. Moreover, she is developing CEPS` own data visualization and analysis of regional economic convergence across EU Member States. She also collaborated to data collection and conducted surveys for the study “Digital labour platforms in the EU – mapping and business model”. As part of her internship as research assistant at University of Bologna, she conducted extensive research about financial literacy among young students in Italy.
Experienced in data collection and analysis in R, econometric analysis in STATA, data visualization in Tableau and has basic knowledge of Python.
Doina Postica holds a MPhil cum laude in Economics from University of Bologna (Bologna) and a Bachelor cum laude in Economics from Roma Tre University (Rome).
Mother tongue Romanian and Italian, she is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of French and Russian.
