Paula Gürtler is Associate Researcher in the Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation and Digital Economy (GRID) unit at CEPS.
She has a background and research interest in Applied Ethics, and ethics of new technology in particular. She also has a broad interdisciplinary academic education and experience with any form of qualitative research, including narrative interviews.
Building on her in-depth training in applied ethics, Paula has further familiarized herself with the questions connected to Ethics of AI in particular and the challenges of regulating it effectively. Her research experience in this field amounts to one year, and she has given presentations at conferences on ethics-washing and the ethics of the newly emerging blockchain-based technology of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
