Damir Gojsic

Researcher

Damir Gojsic is a Researcher in the Financial Markets and Institutions Unit at CEPS.

Since joining CEPS, he has mostly worked on collecting, harmonising and analysing large amounts of data, such as information on recipients of EU public funds. Similarly, he has experience in collecting and analysing sustainability and energy data. He specialises in web scraping, record linkage, machine learning and handling of big data using Python.

Previously, he worked as a student research assistant for the European Social Survey, dealing with statistical fraud detection in interviews. He also was a blue book trainee at the European Commission (DG Eurostat), where he dealt with computational statistical literacy and an audit of national statistical institutes.

He studied Political Science (BA and MA) with a focus on quantitative methods and machine learning.

His mother tongues are German and Croatian. In addition, he is fluent in English and has basic knowledge in French.
