With the likelihood that final agreement on the Telecoms Single Market package will be much more limited than the original Connected Continent proposals, restricted to roaming and net neutrality, this Digital Forum seminar will focus on the need for a more substantial overhaul to ensure a telecoms sector fit for the future.

In particular, the future regulatory framework needs to:

  • Focus on the future rather than the past, shifting away from legacy services (voice telephony, SMS, broadcast TV) towards digital services.
  • Be more dynamic and responsive to market and technology evolution.
  • Provide incentives to invest in next generation networks.

Participation in this event is exceptionally free of charge. Refreshments will be served before the seminar from 18:00 onwards, with cocktails and canapés served after the event.
