Nicole Reynolds is an Associate Research Fellow with the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), working on policy issues in AI, sustainability, climate and development finance. She previously served as Head of Impact Policy and Reporting at Delphos Impact, a climate finance fund. She has 25 years of experience in the private sector and international development and has served as an expert advisor to companies, impact investor groups, think tanks and NGOs. She is a Non-Executive Director at ImpaktEU, a Brussels-based social impact investment fund.
Nicole was a co-author of a study published by CEPS and the Barilla Center for Food and Nutrition entitled Digitising AgriFood: Pathways and Challenges, which examined how digital technologies can optimize the agrifood chain, reducing agriculture’s impact on the environment, while improving yields to provide adequate food for all. She also collaborated with CEPS and a major foundation on a study examining EU effectiveness in global development which identified the main challenges to making EU development actions more effective and coordinated both at the EU level and with member states. The study proposed the need for new governance forms, in particular orchestration, to tackle mounting global challenges posed by climate change and the green energy transition and the need to evolve the global development landscape towards greater cooperation.
Nicole has served as a technical expert on numerous international development projects addressing competitiveness, access to finance, and value chains funded by USAID, the US Department of Defense, and Millennium Challenge Corporation. Previously she was an investment banker at Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney in New York and London in the global M&A and telecom franchise where she worked on capital raising and merger transactions. She has also held positions at NBC/General Electric and Primedia Software-on-Demand in corporate development.
Nicole earned a Master of International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. She holds a certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.
