Davide Monaco

Research Fellow

Davide Monaco is a Research Fellow at CEPS, where he works on issues related to the future of work, particularly with regard to the impact of technological change and artificial intelligence on working conditions, employment and labour markets. 

Before joining CEPS, Davide was a doctoral researcher in the Department of Politics at the University of Manchester (UK), where he conducted research on Italian and European political economy, neoliberalisation processes, social pacts and industrial relations, collective bargaining, labour market policy, and the socio-economic agenda of far-right parties both in Italy and at EU level. His research has been published in internationally recognised journals in the field of political economy.  

Davide specialises in qualitative research, particularly semi-structured interviews, elite interviews, and narrative and discourse analysis. He also has several years of experience in public opinion research and in the design, management and analysis of multi-country quantitative and qualitative studies on a wide range of political and social topics. 

In addition to his PhD in Politics from the University of Manchester, Davide holds an MA in International Politics – International Political Economy from the same university, an MA in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs from the University of Bologna (Italy) and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Siena (Italy). 

A native Italian speaker, Davide is fluent in English and French and has a good knowledge of Spanish.
