Associate Research Assistant

Amin Kassab is Associate Research Assistant in the Energy, Resources and Climate Change Unit. After doing an internship within the same unit at CEPS, he is contributing to several projects on circular economy and industrial climate policy.

Holding a M.Sc. in Economics from the Ruhr-University Bochum, Amin developed an interest in the intersection between international trade, resource and development economics with climate change mitigation policies. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Münster and spent Erasmus semesters abroad at HEC Liège and the University of Rennes 1.

Besides his work for CEPS, Amin is pursuing a PhD at Paderborn University, analysing the macroeconomic impacts of the European Green Deal on developing countries.

His mother tongue is German. Besides this he is fluent in English and French.
