Energy Union in the global energy perspective
The European Council in March 2015 has reconfirmed its commitment to its 2030 climate and energy targets and to transform Europe's energy systems towards low-carbon. This transformation is happening elsewhere although speed and focus differ in line with countries’ and region’s priorities. Governments globally face an unprecedented challenge to provide safe, reliable, affordable and sustainable energy to support economic development and our modern life. Successfully meeting these energy challenges will mean helping billions of people raise their living standards while also reducing the impact of energy use on the environment. This event offers the opportunity to hear and discuss the latest findings of the ExxonMobil 2015 "Outlook for Energy: A view to 2040" and how it relates to the Energy Union.
