Event Agenda

In a recent consultation document, the European Commission has floated a number of ideas to revitalise the prospects for carbon capture and storage (CCS) in Europe, for example through a structural reform of the ETS/CCS certificates, an extension of the NER 300 beyond 2020 or emissions performance standards at installation or firm level. While CCS faces tough challenges in the EU, progress is being achieved in Norway and new experiences from the test facility at Mongstad will be presented at the seminar.

The Mission of Norway to the EU together with the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) wish to invite you to participate in a meeting to assess the technological progress made in CCS in the EU and Norway and discuss possible policies to address existing challenges.
