The next European Council (EUCO) meeting takes place on 20 and 21 March 2025. This edition will feature both defence and financial strategy on the agenda: a snapshot of EU priorities in the European capital.
As a temporary ceasefire agreement appears to take the shape of a real possibility, European leaders will meet to establish their involvement in the march towards peaceful independence for Ukraine.
Over midway through the holy month of Ramadan, relations in the Middle East remain anything but peaceful. EU heads of state and government will try to reach an agreement on a unified European approach to the situation.
The next MFF and competitiveness also land themselves on the March 2025 EUCO running order. The leaders will tackle the next EU budget for a globally competitive Europe.
