CEPS/ECMI Lunchtime meeting.

Financial market infrastructures are key promoters of competitiveness and market efficiency. Business models are currently striving to gather the best in-house technological expertise to minimise technological glitches under highly volatile market conditions and confront sweeping changes from upcoming regulatory overhaul in MiFID and EMIR. The new wave of exchange consolidation is a sign that the global trading landscape is changing and that competition among platforms is rapidly moving across all asset classes. Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group, will discuss recent market developments and future scenarios to boost competitiveness in Europe in an open debate with Karel Lannoo, CEO of CEPS, and Diego Valiante, ECMI-CEPS Research Fellow, on September 1st in Brussels.

Participation in CEPS lunchtime meetings is a benefit of membership. Non-members may be admitted for €50, paid in cash at registration. A sandwich lunch (€6) will be served before the event, from 12.45 onwards.
