2015 Harvard Law School Europe-U.S. Symposium April 15-17

Start: Wednesday evening, April 15 / End: Friday mid-day, April 17

The twelfth ‘Symposium on building the Financial System of the 21st century:

An agenda for Europe and the United States’, brings together senior practitioners, distinguished academics and high level officials with the aim of fostering the exchange of ideas on issues of common concern. This year’s sessions will address issues such as bail-in and total loss absorbing capacity (TLAC) in the context of cross border resolution as well as the effects of QE on capital markets. Participants will also explore the possibilities for increased regulatory convergence and deeper cooperation in supervision of the banking sector as a result of the move towards banking union and discuss to what degree US capital markets can and should serve as a model for Europe. The Symposium will be held in Eltvilleam Rhein, Germany from April 15 – 17, 2015 in partnership with the Program on International Financial Systems (PIFS) at the Harvard Law School.
