CEPS Digital Forum seminar.
The future of internet governance is high on the agenda with the upcoming Global Multistakeholder Meeting on the Future of Internet Governance (GMMFIG) in Brazil in April. In the wake of Edward Snowden’s spying revelations, tensions between the internet’s evolving governance institutions and national sovereignty have reached new peaks.
This Digital Forum seminar will address some key issues:
- Is the current multistakeholder viable to ensure openness, security and accountability on the internet?
- How is ICANN adjusting its governance to respond to current concerns about Internet governance?
- What will be the impact of the recent EU Communication on Internet governance?
- What is the likely outcome of the upcoming meeting in Sao Paulo?
Participation in CEPS meetings is a benefit of membership. Non-members may be admitted for €50, paid in cash at registration.
