Susana Aires Gomes is a Researcher in the Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation, Digital Economy (GRID) unit at CEPS.
Her core areas of work are AI and technology policy. Prior to joining CEPS, she was a doctoral researcher at King’s College London, conducting research at the intersection of AI, explainability of complex models and philosophy of technology. Previously, she worked in the field of EU research, innovation and education policy, both in the private sector and at the European Parliament.
Susana holds a PhD in Digital Humanities from King’s College London, an MA in Cultural Policy and Management from the University of Warwick and a BA in Communication from Nova University of Lisbon.
She is a native Portuguese speaker and fluent in English and French.
