Luca Nipius is a Research Assistant at the Energy, Resources & Climate Change Unit at CEPS. Prior to joining CEPS, Luca obtained degrees in Liberal Arts & Sciences (BSc) at University College Utrecht and in Sustainable Development (MSc) at Utrecht University. During his studies, he focused on energy transitions and EU policymaking, acquiring a background in both physics and social sciences.
At CEPS, Luca’s work primarily focuses on industrial decarbonisation, specifically Carbon Capture and Storage, and green steel. Other topics include construction policy, energy efficiency, and the CBAM.
Luca is fluent in Dutch and English and has professional working proficiency in French and Spanish
