Francesca Cecchin is the Project Officer of the Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation and Digital Technology (GRID) Unit at CEPS.
Francesca is specialised in the management of EU-funded projects. In 3,5 years of professional experience, she has developed comprehensive knowledge of Project Cycle Management and the EU procedures for tendering and implementing Technical Assistance, Framework Contract, and Grants projects.
Among other projects, Francesca has managed an multi-county Evaluation project, and a Technical Assistance to support the European Commission and EU Delegations worldwide in managing grant contracts in different sectors (climate change, local development, gender, education, etc.). Beyond project management, Francesca’s interests revolve around the interplay between EU fundamental rights and global policy issues, such as sustainable development and digital technologies. In her B.A. thesis, Francesca analysed the EU Data Protection legislation and the respect of fundamental rights in the context of the work of law enforcement authorities.
Francesca holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Conflict Management from Sant’ Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa, IT) and a cum laude Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences, International Relations, Human Rights from the University of Padua (Padua, IT).
