Fabian Kuzmic is a Research Assistant in the Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation and Digital Economy (GRID) Unit, focusing on global AI governance, research and innovation policy, and data-driven tools for public decision-making.
He contributes to projects on digital infrastructure and technological sovereignty, foresight on global challenges, and the EU’s next Framework Programme (FP10). He is a Tech Policy Fellow with the Talos Network and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers.
Before joining CEPS, Fabian worked across research, journalism, and advocacy. He conducted fieldwork in Rwanda, Kosovo, and Borneo; developed methods and indicators for policy analysis with teams in Oxford and Amsterdam; and co-led climate diplomacy initiatives. He also taught economics at the University of Amsterdam.
His academic background is in Politics, Law and Economics from Amsterdam University College, with visiting study at the National University of Singapore (Yale-NUS College and NUSC), and he is a Fulbright Program nominee.
He is fluent in English, German, and Spanish, with some knowledge of French.
