Deniz Tekin is a Research Assistant in the Energy, Resources and Climate Change (ERCC) Unit.
At CEPS, Deniz supports research on resource governance and climate policy. Her work has included analysing demand-side tools to promote the uptake of sustainably sourced critical raw materials and developing policy options to scale secondary raw materials. She has also contributed to circular economy research on batteries, and to work on carbon markets and international credits.
Before joining CEPS, Deniz completed a BA in Sociology at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul and pursued an MSc in Sustainable Development at KU Leuven. During her studies, she focused on how governance and institutional design shape pathways toward just and sustainable transitions in Europe and beyond.
Deniz is fluent in Turkish and English, and has intermediate proficiency in French.
