CEPS IDEASLAB 2024: That’s a wrap!

4-5 March 2024

0
This year we brought you once again an in-person edition of our flagship event! More than a decade on from its first edition, Ideas Lab continues to stand out as the foremost annual gathering on EU policies. Designed as a high-profile intellectual forum, the event serves as a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas on a myriad of current and pressing issues facing the EU. The discussions, marked by openness, insightfulness, and impact, actively engage policymakers, researchers, and representatives from across industry and civil society. This year, CEPS also hosted a dynamic panel discussion, at Bozar.

With 24 immersive sessions to choose from, this year’s Ideas Lab featured a twist to our regular format – seven of these sessions unveiled groundbreaking ideas for the new European Commission and European Parliament to consider when they begin their new mandates.

Our speakers included:

  • Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President for An Economy that Works for People
  • Maroš Šefčovič, Executive Vice-President for European Green Deal, Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight
  • Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary-General, Council of Europe
  • Hadja Lahbib, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Belgium
