Climate neutrality will require negative emissions. Beyond mid-century, net-negative emissions will become an obligation also for the EU. Many different technologies exist at different levels of maturity; they will need to be durable and accountable. The meeting will discuss how and when to scale up technologies, what policy options are required and what trade-offs will need to be addressed.
