CEPS, Imperial College London and the Wellcome Trust are launching the research report “Towards an ambitious FP10”. This report maps stakeholders’ positions on the EU tenth Framework Programme for research and innovation (FP10), and provides recommendations based on the guidance by an Advisory Group of 15 outstanding experts. Coupling stakeholder mapping and expert advice, the report combines stocktaking with a forward-looking approach, setting out ambitious ideas and translating them into feasible options for the future FP10.
The event is hosted by Prof Hugh Brady, President of Imperial College London and Dr John-Arne Røttingen, CEO of the Wellcome Trust, and chaired by Prof Andrea Renda, Director of Research at CEPS and lead author of the report. They will be joined on stage by distinguished speakers from the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the academic community.
We will present our set of proposals and engage in a lively debate with the audience on several aspects of FP10, including its structure, governance and budget, as well as its orientation towards competitiveness and addressing global challenges. The event will be followed by a networking reception.
