It’s approaching a year since the UK left the EU and its single market and signed the EU-UK Trade Cooperation Agreement, but the future relationship is still very much a work in progress.
The last year has seen the UK and the EU navigate new territory in market access for financial services, calls for the Northern Ireland protocol to be renegotiated and the UK and member states facing stumbling blocks over fishing rights. There have also been opportunities for continued cooperation and collaboration on science, technology and research, cross-border judicial investigations and the coordination of joint responses on foreign policy challenges.
We are delighted to be joined by UK Ambassador to the EU, Lindsay Croisdale-Appleby and MEP Danuta Hübner to discuss the main challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The conversation will be moderated by Karel Lannoo, CEO, CEPS.
