The future of work: what role for the EU?

0

Ongoing technological transformations are affecting the nature of work, employment relations and the life of individuals in society. This event aims at bringing together different perspectives and debate the role that the EU can play in addressing emerging challenges related to new forms of work and emerging vulnerabilities in terms of social dialogue, social protection and social security as well as to the evolution of skills requirements and of the nature of work.
Panelists will contribute to answer three main questions:

·         What is the strategic interest of the EU to engage in addressing these challenges?
·         What are the competences and instruments that the EU has to address these challenges? What should be left to Member states and to the private sector?
·         What EU policies and actions are already in place and which ones should be put in place to tackle upcoming challenges?

Registration from 10.30 to 11.00 – Meeting 11.00 to 13.00 (with a light lunch served from 13.00 to 14.00)
