KICK-OFF Meeting of the new Task Force

The Task Force, which builds on the research findings generated in the EU-funded JUD-IT project, aims at highlighting and addressing outstanding issues related to the new proposed tools for intra-EU and transatlantic cooperation in cross-border data-gathering for law enforcement and criminal justice purposes.

The Task Force will consist of four meetings, being the first one the kick off meeting, which will take place in January 2020.

  • All members will be encouraged to actively participate in the debates and/or in the discussion of concrete case studies.
  • Participants might be asked in advance to prepare short oral interventions or  brief written submissions to help exchange of views during meetings.
  • The Members will represent their institutions but will be asked to provide input as experts.
  • Oral or written inputs from expert participants will be gathered by the rapporteurs and discussed with the Task Force members to ensure full collegiality.
  • Members will be given ample opportunity to review the Task Force report before it is published
  • Their involvement will be ackonweldeged in the Task Force Report of which members will receive hard copies.

The kick off meeting is scheduled on 23 January 2020 from 9:00 to 13:00. It will give the occasion to present the Task Force Outline and collect feedback and inputs on possible key questions to explore in the context of the actual TF meetings.
