Shaping the Future: What do we need to do to rebuild Ukraine’s energy sector?

0

In-person event:

Amidst Russia’s relentless attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, its energy system stands at a critical juncture. Immediate actions to bolster the sector’s resilience intertwine with ongoing sector reforms and modernisation efforts, including the deployment of renewables and further integration into the EU’s electricity system.

To enhance the energy transition and reconstruction efforts for Ukraine’s energy sector, the role of the private sector is pivotal. This event will delve into multifaceted mechanisms to sustain the country’s private sector’s functionality in driving the recovery and reconstruction.

The event will explore options to mitigate risks for a sustainable path forward through risk insurance and a ‘war fund’, as well as to unlock financing opportunities from both EU and international financial institutions.

A light breakfast will be provided from 09:45 onwards.

Registration ends on 3 October 17:15 CET
