GreenEcoNet: Annual Conference and Platform Launch Event – Connecting SMEs for a green economy

0

The 1st GreenEcoNet Annual Conferencewill focus on two topics of relevance for Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) emerging from the political agenda. The first topic will deal with governance and will address questions related to how can policies help ‘green’ entrepreneurs by improving access to information, financing and technical assistance. The second topic will deal with the circular economy and will feature discussions on what action and information SMEs might require to realise business opportunities related to the circular economy, as well as how SMEs can improve their cooperation and knowledge sharing to fully exploit the potential of the circular economy. The Conference will include discussion panels featuring experts from policy, research and business.

Following the Annual Conference, the project consortium will launch the GreenEcoNet platform. The Platform Launch Event will include a visual presentation of the platform and its suite of instruments aimed at creating a dynamic environment for exchanging best practice ideas and stimulating the green economy debate. The presentation of the platform will be followed by a discussion on best practice SME initiatives. In particular, a number of SMEs will present their innovative green business solutions which enabled them to reduce costs while boosting their revenues.

The Annual Conference starts at 09:30 with registration & coffee
Networking lunch from 13:00-14:00, followed by the Platform Launch Event which starts at 14:00.
