Catalonia in Spain, Bavaria in Germany, Lombardy in Italy: the better-off regions all claim that they are paying too much for the others. Can inter-regional redistribution ever be just? In this lunch-time meeting, Prof. Angel de la Fuente will present an examination of the case of Catalonia and compare it to the experience of other regions in other countries, in Europe and outside. Prof. Bordignon and Dr Andritzky will comment based on their direct knowledge of the Italian and German cases, respectively.
