Many experts agree that completing EMU requires more risk sharing across borders. But what do European citizens think about it?
A team from the University of Amsterdam coordinated a project surveying European citizens’ attitudes towards cross-border risk sharing in the domain of unemployment insurance.
The results, which will be presented at this event, indicate that there might be more support for cross-border risk-sharing than the political debate suggests; but the actual level of support crucially depends on the exact design of the proposed policies.
