In-person event

In an ever-shifting geopolitical landscape, EU enlargement has risen to the top of the agenda for EU policymakers. The eagerly anticipated enlargement package from the European Commission, scheduled for release on November 8, will provide valuable insights into the path forward for the next wave of EU enlargement. On the very day of the  publication of the European Commission’s enlargement package, CEPS is honored to welcome Nicu Popescu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, and Gert Jan Koopman, DG Near Director General. This high-level discussion will delve into the EU’s enlargement report, and look at the assessment of the European Commission on the progress made by candidate countries, with a focus on Moldova.
