Consequences of the US withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal

0

President Trump’s announcement on 8 May 2018 that the US would withdraw from the nuclear deal with Iran is likely a game-changer in international efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. With the JCPOA now hanging in the balance and given the likelihood that regional security in the Middle East will be plunged into even more uncertainty, what should the European Union do to safeguard the JCPOA’s achievements?

This seminar explores the international, European and domestic ramifications of Trump walking away from the JCPOA.
