Seeking immUnity: Europe in a post-Covid world

0

This year, we’re bringing you a fully digital Ideas Lab experience! Ideas Lab strives to have open, insightful and impactful discussions thanks to the participation of a diverse group of policymakers, researchers and representatives from industries and civil society. It’s an innovative platform of exchange and co-creation that brings together think tanks from across Europe, representatives of national governments, businesses, NGOs and European institutions.

For this 8th edition, our team of researchers, leading experts and high-level policymakers will cover five themes over five days. The programme will start on Monday 31 May with discussions on the health crisis and end on Friday 4 June with sessions on Europe’s strategic autonomy. Throughout the week, we will be debating on a variety of issues from the European Green Deal to Europe’s industrial future and the economic recovery. Ideas Lab is a high-level conference by invitation-only, but we will be broadcasting a series of public seminars throughout the week.

Speakers include Nobel laureate Michael Spence, Vice-President for Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight Maroš Šefčovič, Commissioner Nicolas Schmidt, American economist Adam Posen, Indian economist Jayati Ghosh, and many more! For the first time at Ideas Lab, 30 Young Thinkers will take part in a joint foresight exercise to present scenarios on the future of Europe and discuss ways to engage citizens in the European debate. You can watch their presentations and subsequent discussion on the Friday morning.

Stay tuned for more information on the developing programme and we look forward to seeing you there!
