In-person event

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea and the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) are jointly organising the “Brussels Forum on the Human Rights Situation in North Korea” on Friday 22 November 2024 at the Korean Cultural Center in Brussels.

This year commemorates the 10th anniversary of the release of the United Nations Commission of Inquiry (UN COI) report on human rights in the DPRK. The Forum will provide an opportunity to raise the awareness on North Korean human rights situation, exchange views among human rights experts and to discuss policy options to promote human rights in North Korea. It will also offer a unique opportunity to directly hear from the testimonies of North Korean escapees.

The Forum is organised with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the European Union.
