Productivity in ageing societies – what impact on the economy?

European societies are ageing. Longer working lives in most countries mean that the workforce is ageing even faster. This workshop addresses a number of central issues related to these trends. What will be the implications for labour productivity and economic growth? What is the impact on public finances? What role for increasing educational attainment and labour force participation?
