The 'making of' the EU Global Strategy and challenges to its implementation

Nathalie Tocci, lead pen-holder of the 2016 EU Global Strategy (EUGS) and author of a book which traces the origins, politics, process and content of the EUGS will share her unique insights to offer a better understanding of European foreign policy-making. As a privileged player in the implementation process, Tocci will use the lens of the EUGS to tell a broader story about the EU and its functioning as it moves towards a security and defence union.
