Improving Food Systems for Better Lives

Millions of people are living in poverty around the world, but making our food systems more nutritious, resilient, and inclusive can significantly improve their lives within the next ten years.

On 2 June 2015, the European Commission, BMZ and IFPRI join hands to bring together stakeholders and leading experts to discuss the latest thinking on how to sustainably improve livelihoods and well-being by addressing food systems.

Participants from civil society organisations, the private sector, government, the donor community and academia, among others, will share experiences and engage in discussions on three critical themes: nutrition, resilience and gender.

A concluding multi-disciplinary panel discussion on Moving from Research to Action will draw on a wide range of expertise for a lively exchange of forward-looking ideas, recommendations and priorities for improving food systems with the goal of ending hunger and undernutrition in the coming decade.

Participation in this event is free of charge.
