EFSI 3.0 and the Role of National Promotional Banks

CEPS is organising a breakfast meeting* on the topic of EFSI 3.0 and the Role of National Promotional Banks.

Mr Fabio Gallia, CEO, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, will give a keynote speech followed by a panel discussion with Daniel Gros, CEPS and Miguel Gil Tertre, VP Katainen's Cabinet and a Q&A session.

Born in Alessandria in 1963, since 2015 Fabio Gallia is the CEO and General Manager of Cassa depositi e prestiti, the Italian National Promotional Institution. He is also member of the Boards of Coesia, Ariston Thermo, Assonime, Telethon Foundation and Turin’s Egyptian Museum. His career began in 1988 at Accenture. Two years later, he joined the Ersel-Giubergia Group where he held managerial posts with growing responsibility until becoming Partner. From 2002 to 2007, he worked at Capitalia Group, first as Deputy General Manager, then Associate General Manager, finally as CEO of Fineco (September, 2003) and Banca di Roma (December, 2005). In 2008, he joined BNP Paribas Group as General Manager and CEO of BNL  and member of the Executive Board of the BNP Paribas Group. In 2012, he became Head of BNP Group in Italy. Mr. Gallia holds a degree in Economics from the University of Turin (1987), and he has been enrolled in the Register of Chartered Accountants since 1989. In 2013 he was appointed Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor of the French Republic and in 2015 Knight of Labor of the Italian Republic.
