CEPS Summer School 2016 on EMU Governance receives high marks
For the second year in succession, CEPS Academy has organised a Summer School on Economic and Financial Governance. Since the inception of the financial crisis in 2008, and more importantly since the sovereign debt crisis in 2010, the governance of the euro area has substantially changed. Multi-layered institutions and rules now define its economic and financial governance. The Summer School provided the diverse group of about 30 selected participants from academia, national and European institutions, and the private sector with a unique programme tailored to enhance understanding of the new EMU governance framework.
The intense six-day programme included lectures by specialists from the EU institutions, academia and CEPS in combination with practical, problem-solving simulations, and discussion groups and study visits to the EU institutions. The Summer School was widely appreciated by the participants, who without exception expressed their satisfaction with the experience.
CEPS Academy plans to organise another session of the Summer School on EMU Governance in September 2017. If you would like to receive notification of the opening of the application procedure in early 2017 or more information about the CEPS academy activities in general, please contact Veselina Georgieva at firstname.lastname@example.org or check the CEPS Academy page on the website (https://www.ceps.eu/content/ceps-academy).
