22 - 23 February 2018 / The Egg, Brussels

The Major Annual Event of Europe

One of the major highlights of each year, the CEPS Ideas Lab is the forum that gathers Europe's top decision makers and thinkers to discuss all the major issues confronting the EU. This year, the theme will be 'Europe - Back on Track'.

Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker opened the debate and several of his colleagues contributed to the debate, together with a number of prominent MEPs and national policy makers. The Foreign Minister of Belgium Didier Reynders  closed, together with Lilyana Pavlova, the Bulgarian Minister for EU Presidency. Ivan Krastev held the final academic lecture.

The two-day event comprised two plenaries and 48 different breakout sessions, covering a broad range of current issues facing Europe today.

A total of 1050 participants took part in this 5th edition of Ideas Lab. Below are the main highlights of our event.
