In the span of just three years, the CEPS Ideas Lab has grown to become one of the main events on the Brussels calendar. With over 100 speakers, 2 plenaries, 33 sessions, 4 special evening sessions, 4 breakfast sessions, and more than 1000 participants of 43 different nationalities, the Ideas Lab 2017 promises to be a resounding success.
Among the distinguished speakers are influential European policy-makers, including Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta; Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs; Liz Kendall, MP, House of Commons; Philippe Lamberts, MEP; Nadia Calviño, Director General, DG Budget, European Commission; Jos Delbeke, Director General, DG CLIMA, European Commission, Ian Borg, Secretary of State for the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU; and Iliyana Tsanova, Deputy Managing Director, EFSI. Also participating are many leading academics such as Timothy Garton Ash, University of Oxford; Markus Brunnermaier, Princeton University; Richard Baldwin, Graduate Institute; and wise men Giuliano Amato, Marek Belka, Olli Rehn and Enrico Letta.
These and other prominent thinkers will exchange views on the most critical issue facing Europe today: “Reconstructing the Union”.
