Launch event of a new special issue of Mediterranean Politics, on ‘The Union for the Mediterranean: Continuity or Change’.

This series of papers, edited by Federica Bicchi (LSE) and Richard Gillespie (University of Liverpool), provides an in-depth account of the ways in which the UfM has modified the Barcelona Process and why it has proved so problematic.

The meeting will also address the question of how the EU and its Mediterranean partners should move forward, to overcome UfM blockages and respond constructively and urgently to the popular demands for political change coming from around the Arab World.

A sandwich lunch (€6) will be served before the event, from 12.30 onwards.
