Public forum on the substance of EU international democracy promotion

This public forum is part of the EU-iPodS project, which deals with the content of EU international democracy promotion. It aims to discuss the findings from two research projects with civil society, the professional field, and the general public, including people from target countries of EU democracy promotion activities. It will address the EU’s (particular?) understanding of democracy in democracy promotion, the problem of conflicting objectives, the question of what the EU can learn from other important donors and deal with recent developments, such as the Arab Spring, and their implications for the content of democracy promotion. The public forum aims for an interactive discussion with an active involvement of the audience. Participation is free of charge. Click here to see the programme.
