This debate will explore regulatory pathways to realise the goal of EU competitiveness with specific reference to financial sector stability and the shift to a low carbon, competitive economy. A central policy challenge is to balance short term pressures with long term policy goals. How can energy policy be structured to lead to a stronger, more competitive EU industry ? How can policy support a stronger export sector and strong EU enterprises abroad ? How can today’s financial regulatory reform moves deliver meaningful results for society in terms of economic security and greater accountability for companies ?

Registration starts at 12:30. A buffet lunch will be served.
